The 1999 Cheval Blanc is all about subtle class - a wine of breathtaking elegance that’s been quietly hitting its stride while collectors chased flashier vintages. Now at 25 years old, it’s in a sublime sweet spot: a vibrant core of red berry fruit is woven together with autumnal notes of leather, cold ash, smoked cinnamon, and a touch of menthol.

The palate is where the magic lives - seamless, supple, and beautifully integrated, with tannins that have melted into pure silk. Jane Anson (94pts) calls it “appetising” and “delicate,” while the Wine Advocate (93pts) praises its “extraordinary elegance” and “sweet, harmonious flavours with no hard edges.” This is Cheval Blanc in a classic, graceful style, and it’s drinking perfectly now. One of the true sleepers of the Right Bank.

Christmas & New Year Delivery Times:

London - Orders placed by the 19th (12 PM) will be delivered on Monday, the 22nd.

Outside London - Order Placed by Wed 17th (12 PM) for delivery before Christmas (excluding Central Scotland, Highlands and Islands).

All orders placed after these dates will be arranged when our warehouse reopens on the 5th of January.
