The sleeping giant of Saint-Julien is officially awake. Under the guidance of Jean-Michel Laporte (formerly of the legendary La Conseillante), the 2019 Talbot is a revelation - a classic claret with a new level of polish and precision. It’s all deep blackberry, fresh pencil shavings, and a cool, gravelly minerality that speaks directly to its high-plateau terroir. 

The palate is where you feel the change: medium-bodied, incredibly cohesive, and framed by silky tannins that carry the wine to a long, tobacco-tinged finish. This isn't the old, rustic Talbot; it's a wine with newfound energy and class. Neal Martin (94pts) calls it "classic Saint-Julien," and William Kelley (93pts) confirms this is "an estate to watch." 

While it has the structure to age gracefully for two decades, it's already so beautifully put together that it’s a thrill to taste now with judicious decanting.

Free UK Delivery on all orders over £250 (excluding Central Scotland, Highlands and Islands). Orders below £250 incur a £18 delivery fee. 

Christmas & New Year Delivery Times:

London - Orders placed by the 19th (12 PM) will be delivered on Monday, the 22nd.

Outside London - Order Placed by Wed 17th (12 PM) for delivery before Christmas (excluding Central Scotland, Highlands and Islands).

All orders placed after these dates will be arranged when our warehouse reopens on the 5th of January.
