2022 Domaine Jobard Morey, Meursault

Burgundy, France | 100% Chardonnay | 90pts WA

A village wine that punches above its weight. From Valentin Jobard's old-vine holdings in Les Pelles, below premier cru Gouttes d'Or. Upon tasting, William Kelley spotted “sweet peach, pear, and orange zest” (WA 90), but we’d add: there’s a whisper of citrus blossom from Jobard’s rare muscaté Chardonnay vines, which makes for a unique twist. Textural and layered, with just enough acidity to keep it fresh, this is simply hard to resist. Proof that Jobard’s “under-the-radar” status won’t last.
