Le Vignoble du Rêveur, Alsace

Le Vignoble du Rêveur is an exciting, boundary-pushing estate in Alsace, founded in 2013 by the highly talented Mathieu Deiss (of the renowned Domaine Marcel Deiss) and his partner, Emmanuelle Milan.

The foundation of the domaine was the inheritance of 7 hectares of vineyards in the commune of Bennwihr from Mathieu's uncle. Having worked alongside his father, Jean-Michel Deiss, Mathieu used this new estate as a platform to intensely experiment, push boundaries, and explore new paths in viticulture and winemaking.

From 2011, Mathieu and Emmanuelle fully embraced a philosophy deeply rooted in the natural environment, converting the vineyards to biodynamic practices and earning Demeter certification by 2013.

Like Domaine Marcel Deiss, they champion the philosophy of co-plantation, focusing on the texture, consistency, depth, and minerality that the terroir imparts, rather than highlighting a single grape variety. This creative approach showcases their talent through a dynamic range of wines, including unique direct-pressed blends and pioneering skin-macerated white wines that have set a new standard for "orange wines" in the region.
