One of Maranges' hidden gem gets the Réno Pacalet treatment. From 45-year-old vines on southeast slopes, this Premier Cru bursts with wild strawberry, peony, and a touch of game. Whole-bunch fermentation (no sulfur) amplifies the terroir's sunny generosity while keeping Burgundian structure, with a tight tannic grip and impressive lenght and focus. 1,250 bottles made. Clearly not enough once you taste - serious stuff punching way above its level (and price!).
